While a tune-up can mean a number of different things depending on how old your vehicle is, the make and model, and how well you maintain your car - a tune-up is essentially refresher for your vehicle. It will replace necessary parts, clean parts, check fluids, and basically just ensure that your vehicle is running at its best. 

Most tune-ups are considered a major service, and are typically needed every 30,000 miles or so. However, there are certain symptoms that can indicate you may be due for a tune-up, especially if you have an older vehicle. Here are some of the main symptoms to keep an eye out for that are indicators that your vehicle needs  a tune-up:

  • Check engine light is on
