Check the Manual – the first thing to do is to check our owner’s manual and see what service might be due. It’s best to stay current with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Check Drivability and Engine Performance – if you drive your vehicle hard under high-stress conditions then it’s important to get these checked out. If you notice any issues, then bring your vehicle into see us.

Replace Dirty Filters – this is a good time to check your filters, including oil, air, fuel and PCV. If any of them are dirty are worn out then replace them.

Change Oil and Check Fluids – if you’ve recently changed your oil then you can skip this step. But if it’s already been 2,000 or 3,000 miles since the last time, then you should get the oil changed. In addition, you should check all of your other fluids, as well. If any of them show signs of wear then replace them. If they look okay, but their levels are low, then top them off. This includes brake fluid, coolant, transmission fluid, washer fluid, and any others.

Check Your Heater – of course, your car’s heating system is very important this time of year. If you want to stay cozy and warm inside your vehicle then make sure your heater and defroster are both working.

Check the Battery, Wipers, Bulbs, and Tires – fall is a great time to make sure your tires are in good shape. You want to have good traction in the wintery driving conditions. Also, make sure your battery is still healthy. Batteries tend to wear down in the cold weather, so having a good battery is important. Your wiper blades are also really important if you want to see clearly as you drive in the rain and snow. So if your blades are worn, then replace them.
