It’s hard to believe it’s already time for Thanksgiving. Family, turkey, side dishes, football, and Christmas shopping are likely on your plate this coming week. We have a lot to be thankful for at Hoesly Eco Automotive, especially our many wonderful customers that continue to trust us with their Vancouver auto repair. So, thank you for making Hoesly Automotive your choice for auto repair and service in southwest Washington.
On that note, we know that Thanksgiving is a very busy time for travel. The roads could be very crowded this year, especially since many people will be visiting family for the first time in a couple of years on Thanksgiving, due to the pandemic. Hopefully, everyone will be extra cautious out on the roadways so everyone can enjoy the holiday and stay safe from harm.
Getting Your Vehicle Ready for Travel
To that end, there are some things you can do to get your car ready for the holiday. After all, you want to be sure your travels go as planned. The first thing to do is inspect your vehicle. This could include checking the lights, the wipers, the tires, the battery, and the antifreeze/coolant fluid. All of these are important for safe driving conditions, especially during the fall and winter. If you want a deeper, more thorough inspection then please bring your vehicle into Hoesly Automotive for a tune-up.
Mechanical Tests
Speaking of tune-ups, this is a good idea before any road trip, but especially if you haven’t had any service done in a while. Your vehicle has a lot of moving parts, and it’s good to know that all of them are working before you head out for Thanksgiving travel. At Hoesly, we check all your major system and components to ensure they are in good working condition. This includes your engine, the starter, alternator, transmission, battery, and more.
Avoid These Travel Troubles on Thanksgiving
A lot can happen out on the roadways, especially when more vehicles are on the road at the same time. Unfortunately, accidents happen, as do other issues such as an overheated or stalled engine, running out of gas, or blowing a tire. But you can do your part to prevent any of these by taking the time to check your vehicle and getting any necessary service done before you travel.
If you find any issues when you inspect your vehicle, then be sure to get them repaired before you travel. And if you come across any major issues, be sure not to put the off. Car problems only get worse when repairs are delayed.
Happy Thanksgiving from Hoesly Automotive
