How to Make Your Car Ultra Clean
There’s nothing quite like driving a super clean car. It just gives you a feeling of pride to be seen in a shiny, clean vehicle. Plus, your vehicle always looks its best right after you clean it. Washing and vacuuming your car are the first things that come to mind to keep your car clean. But if you really want to keep your car, truck, crossover, or SUV looking its best, there are several other steps you can take. In fact, by following these simple tips you can take your car’s cleanliness to the next level. And you’ll really notice the difference.
Top Car Cleaning Tips
Paint Brush Trick – do your vents look a little dirty? It’s hard to get a vacuum in there and most dusters won’t fit either. If you have a paintbrush or foam brush it will quickly take care of that dust. If you don’t have one handy, you can pick one up at just about any hardware store, or craft store. It’s also a good idea to have a vacuum handy so you can suck the dust up right away after you remove it from the vents. This is also a great way to clean all the buttons and knobs in your vehicle.
Cabin Air Filter – you don’t see it, but your cabin air filter gets dirty. And that means the air inside your vehicle gets dirty too. If your car has a removable air filter then you can simply replace the old dirty one. If it’s not removable, then you can clean it with a vacuum.
Deep Cleaning – many drivers tend to let trash and other debris builds up inside their vehicles. So, do some deep cleaning and remove the trash from every possible little nook and cranny. You might be surprised what you find hiding in those hard to reach places. In addition to the trash, you car might have some sticky messes, too. A good way to remove these from your vinyl or leather upholstery is with a Magic Eraser. Gently rub the mess with the Magic Eraser and it should come off. If it’s really stuck in the grooves, scrubbing a toothbrush might help. You can remove stains from cloth seats with all-purpose cleaner and a scrub brush. You can use the same tactic on your carpeted floor matts.
Air Freshener – once you’ve cleaned your car you want it to smell good. You can purchase an air freshener with your favorite scent, or make your own.
Windshield and Grille – sometimes, the most stubborn places to clean can be your windshield and your front grille. First, use glass cleaner on your windshield. Then apply some Rain X. This will really make it clear. You can also wipe down your wiper blades with rubbing alcohol to prevent smears. As for your grille, it’s notorious for stubborn bugs. If you have some dryer sheets handy, just soak them in warm water and then wipe your grille, and bumper clean.
